WebJun 23, 2015 · Movies are so much more compressed than books, and I miss all the things that have to get cut to make them work. Under the Skin was a great movie, but I HATED it because I loved the book too much. There are exceptions — Revolutionary Road, Gone Girl — but these are outliers, and I say: save the best for last.
